Case study · Business & operations
Bubble B Portugal
Operations, customer service and day-to-day business.
At Bubble B Portugal, I worked across daily service, stock, suppliers, team onboarding, promotions and customer communication. It was a practical role with a lot of small decisions to make quickly and clearly.
01 / Operating context
What I was responsible for.
I managed daily operations, stock control, supplier communication and customer service, typically serving around 25 to 60 customers on a normal day. I helped train about 10 team members and directly supervised one employee.
02 / Communication
Customer-facing work and supplier coordination.
I worked on social posts, promotions, menu changes and community initiatives while coordinating with suppliers and other businesses. The communication had to be understandable, practical and easy to act on, both for customers and for the people working with us.
03 / Relevance to language work
Why it matters here.
This was not translation work. It taught me what unclear wording costs in a real business: extra questions, inconsistent service and avoidable mistakes. It also gave me direct experience of writing for customers rather than writing in the abstract.
